The functionality described in this article is available in Nastel Navigator versions 10.3 and greater.
With User Views, you can group related dashboards into views. You can switch between views at any time. The Workspace dashboard is in all User Views and cannot be removed.
What is a User View?
A User View is a container for a set of dashboards. Initially, each user starts with a single User View called the “Main View.”
Add a User View
To add a new User View:
- Click the User view menu icon.
- Select +Add User View.
- Enter a name for the new view:
- Click OK. All current dashboards except the Workspace dashboard are cleared. From there, you can add, rename, or delete dashboards to update your new User View. All changes you make are retained and are visible the next time you access the same view.
You can return to the Main View by selecting it from the User view list:
Edit a User View
You can edit a User View by renaming it.
- Select the view from the User view list to view it.
- Click the User view menu icon and select Edit User View.
- Enter a new name for the User View and click OK.
- The new name appears in the User view list.
Set a User View as the Default
If you want a certain User View to be displayed when you log on to Nastel Navigator, set that User View as the default. Click the User view menu icon (Figure 4.2.2.1.5.A) and select Set As Default.
Delete a User View
You can delete a User View so it is no longer available.
- Select the view from the User view list to view it.
- Click the User view menu icon.
- Select Delete User View.
- Click Yes to delete the User View. As a result, your User View reverts to the Main View.
