Three default TCP and UDP ports are used by the AP-M6/WMQ product, which should be open in both directions in any firewall between WMQ nodes and the workgroup server (WS) node, and between the WS node and APW Explorer nodes.
- TCP port 4010 is the default WS listener port for connections from client programs, such as APW Explorer, nsqmqsc (MQSC console), nsqadp (LA), and from AP-M6/WMQ agents that register with WS. In addition, WS listens for a possible stop command from utility nsqstop, which is sent as a UDP msg to that same UDP port number.
- TCP port 5010 is the default AP-M6/WMQ agent listener port for connections from WS. In addition, the agent also listens for a UDP stop msg from utility nsqstop to that same UDP port number.
- UDP port 5500 is the default event publish/subscribe (PS) listener port for a stop command sent as a UDP msg from program pubend.
The stop commands could be issued from any node where AP-M6/WMQ is installed.
