Filters can be applied to determine which objects are displayed in viewlets. This is done using the Attribute filter field when creating or editing viewlets. Use it to search for specific use cases such as queues that get disabled, queues with more than 1000 messages or objects that do not have specific settings (default persistence). Multiple filters can be used.
How to add attribute filters
1. Click the ellipses button immediately to the right of the field. The Manage Attribute Filter dialog box opens. Click the Add button to add a new filter.
2. On the following window, enter a name for the filter within the Filter name field and select one of the following radio button options:
- All: objects with all attributes specified by the user will be filtered
- One: objects with at least one of the attributes specified by the user will be filtered
Click Add to add the attributes to the new filter.
3. The following window appears. Simply click on attributes to select them. The background color of a selected attribute will appear green. To easily locate attributes, use the Enter filter value search box and drop-down options to search by attribute name (part of the name can be entered).
4. The selected attributes will need to be configured. For each attribute, select an option from the Compare operation drop-down and specify a Value.
Click OK after all attributes have been configured. The filter is now added.
5. The Manage attribute filter window appears. The left side of the screen displays all previously created filters. Click on the new filter to view its attributes within the Content box on the right side.

If no attribute values are retrieved by the WGS, a warning symbol is displayed immediately next to the viewlet menu button. Click this button to view the error description.
